Erodium corsicum Leman

Habit: Perennial, sub-shrubby or cushion forming, to 300 mm across.


Leaves entire, oval, round toothed, canescent, hairy and decurrent.




Inflorescence: Annual flowering stems bear umbels of 2-4 white to pink flowers 20 mm across, petals unmarked.


Fruit: Beak 15mm. 2n=20




Distribution: endemic to Corsica and Sardinia; on Corsica found on the central west coast and another colony at the extreme south, locations within a few km of the coast, at 40-50 m altitude in fissures of granite rocks exposed to the north; Sardinia on calcareous rocks near Bonifacio and the north of Sardinia.
