Perennial, sub shrub or tufted short-stemmed plant.
Leaves: leaves green, broadly triangular, bi- or tri-pinnatisect, with intercalary leaflets, leaflets erect, ruffled, fairly broad, with long hairs, glandular; ultimate divisions oval; stipules adnate to petiole for half or more of their length.
Inflorescence: umbels of 2-6 flowers, about 20-30 mm across; umbel peduncle and pedicels are brittle-fleshy; petals sub-equal, overlapping, pink deeper veins, no blotches, not notched; nectaries sub-bilobed; stamen filaments densely hirsute at base, simply enlarged at their base without teeth, pink; anthers purple; pollen orange; stigmas purple.
Fruit: Fruit 20-25 mm; mericarps 7-10 mm; foveole auriculate, ciliate on the outer edge, with short glandular hairs; seed cotyledons entire. 2n=20
Distribution: endemic NE Spain, near Gerona and across the French border.
